I have some racks where I put my dvd's in

Since I have more then 600 dvd's I put them in and Excel document and order them by Row (every row has about 100 DVD'S

Now I am useing DVD Profiler I was looking for an option or plugin where I can fill in the location of the DVD.

For example:
Gladiator DVD is in Row 4 and box 2
I want to see this movie and fill it in DVD Profiler.
Then it shows where this movie is located. (Row 4 Box 2)

This will make it much easier for me to find my DVD's back

Is this already possible and how then?

It is possible.
Mark the DVD and press "STRG an P" in the now opening window you can fill in the location of your DVD.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

For English keyboards, that's - Ctrl + P

Select the DVD in question in your Collection List. Next choose Personalize (either from the menu DVD or from the Personalize button, depending on your DVDP layout). At the bottom of the "Personalize DVD" window you'll find "Location" and "Slot", which you can fill in for each disc (multiple times if it's a multi-disc DVD).

Good luck!

As has already been pointed out by previous postings you will find the location/slot fields in the personalize DVD window. You can try using the Bulk Edit plugin to mass edit the location/slots for your collection instead of doing them one-by-one.

Good luck .

To be honest, I have sometimes problems to find my dvd's. I'm very often resorting, so the location in the personal settings wouldn't help very much.

I would prefer a kind of RFID chip in every box to find my dvd's. In connection with a profiler plugin it should give a sound to identify the location of the appropriate dvd!

RFID? What's next GPS locator to tell you where that one that is hiding is at... maybe even a built-in audio alert "Here I am, dummy."

Reminds me of Bill Cosby's doorbell.

Skip
