How do I do that?
Because when I click on contribute the option "include cover" is grey.
I can't click on it, if you know what I mean.

Any help?

Thanks

Does the profile you're trying to upload already have the cover scan? If not the option will be greyed out until you've scanned it in. Go in to edit the profile & then click on Cover Scans.

I had that option once but then I unchecked it, because it was not important.
Maybe it is permanent? :S

scan the cover outside dvd profiler in jpg format
save it somewhere you find it back
in dvd profiler select in Collection List window the profile you wish to add the profile
now right click on the blank front cover
select Edit Cover Images in the pop-up window
select in the new Edit Cover Images window the openfile icon (top left)
open the cover in jpg format where you save it
the cover should now show in that window, if it is to big press once on the minus (zooms to 66%)
now with the left mouse button (click and hold the button)
drag the selection rectangle form the right hand bottom corner to the top left of where the front cover should end.
When your satisfied with the result, go to the menu Image select there Crop
Now at the bottom left corner select the tab Back image
Select the file open again, and the cover should still be selected there
Repeat the procedure
Just select now in the same procedure the back cover
When done press now the OK button on the bottom right
The cover should now be in the profile
In the General Info window at the bottom right you have some icons
select the left one (Hand supporting DVD)
if not selectable, use the right muse click
select contribute
in the contribute window mark [v] the Include cover scans
press the Contribute button

Sorry, guys! I think I figured out the problem! I need both the front and the back cover to make a contribution!

Too bad my scanner does not work with Linux or Vista!

I really want to make those contributions, but I only have the front images..

If it's a new entry and you can't scan the covers you are allowed to put the image you do have in the front and back cover sections for submission purposes.

why not use the front image for both the front and back.

This will do until someone else scans the back.

- remember to read the rules re the cover scan - no watermarks etc

If you have the time and place on your harddisc  , access to your old XP installation (CD/DVD) this might be a solution for you and others. Install XP as a virtual system on your Vista or Linux using VMware:
VMware Server is a free packet, use the beta 2.0 as the final version is not there yet, it should be stable.
At the VMware website you have to answer some questions for the free serial numbers.
Windows Version (RPM), Linux (Tar) approx 0.5 GB download.
The install is done by wizard, for security don"t use standard ports (80 & 433) use (8222 & 8333)
after installation: with the browser Http://localhost:82222. Enter administrator as username and password. First you have to set the password for administrator. For Vista Users: enter from the command prompt c:\:
net user administrator /active
With this you can control the Administrator account over the configuration screen / useraccounts, after this you can login on the VMware Infrastructure Web Access-pages.
Also go to the Firewall, and allow following programs in exeptions from the program folder VM Ware Server:
vmware-authd and open it
vmware-hostd and open it
all settings are done in the webinterface
choose your windows, asign the memory 256 MB is the minimum, if you have more available 512 or 1024.
next step virtual harddisc: 8GB should be addequate.
don"t mark Allocate all disk space now
if you want internet access: virtual network card
standard: bridged (virtual guest system gets ip-address from dhcp-server{your router})
next step install fysical cd-rom drive from the hostsystem and configure for use by guestsystem
next step don"t add floppy disc
next add USB controller

Installing XP:
Select the virtual Machine
Put XP installation in CD-rom
press play
(If you are ussing IE explorer under Vista ad these to your trusted pages: http://127.0.0.1 and https://127.0.0.1)
clikc Open the console in a new window so you get the screen of the virtual machine
just install Windows as you normaly do
VMware Server recognises the virtual drive as non partioned, that you can partion without risc for the hostsystem.
The installation continues as a normal installation
After the complete windows installation you have to install VMWare Tools (drivers and so on)
be shure you are logged in the Windows-guest system
Under status click Install VMware Tools
Click continue to have all drivers installed correctly
After the restart of the virtual PC, the advise is to change the resolution immediatly
when you ask the properties of the virtual PC system you can see that windows does not know it is on a virtual PC.
