I have a 2 DVD set (A Fish Called Wanda + Dirty Rotten Scoundrels). Both movies come is the same Keep Case (like a 2 disc movie), which means they both have the same EAN, making it impossible (I think) to create it as a box set.
Any ideas on how I can create this profile?

| | Posted: | | | | If they are on separate discs, you can (and indeed should) add a child profile for each movie using its disc ID in the Add DVD screen. Same thing if it's a double-sided disc, one profile for each side. If they are both on the same side, then everything has to go in the same profile unfortunately. |

I'll assume that you want a Profile that includes both DVDs of the set as child profiles.
1) Add each DVD individually
2) Select the "Add to Collection.." menu (Owned)
3) Select the "Add by Title" tab and clear the "Download profile from Invelos" box at the bottom of the screen
4) In the Title block provide any name you desire then click "Add now to owned"
5) In the Edit window that appears go to "Box Set Contents" and assign the two DVDS previously added
6) In the "Edit Profile" window under Personal Information you may set the Collection number to "None if desired |

| | Posted: | | | | I'd say: first do what Nadja said, i.e. create so-called "child profiles" for each individual film using the Disc ID as the identifier. Then create a so-called "parent profile" for the whole box using the EAN, and assign both child profiles to the parent profile. For an example that is similar to your DVD set, look at EAN 5039036006545 (Romancing the Stone / Jewel of the Nile), UK edition. with child profiles for each of the two movies. You can find the latter by going to Add DVD, Add by Title tab, set Locality to United Kingdom and then look up "Romancing the Stone" and "Jewel of the Nile" respectively - the entries that have a Disc ID in the right column are the child profiles for this EAN. P.S. For the child profiles, you don't have to start from scratch. Both movies you mentioned have plenty of entries in the Invelos database in various localities. A title search with locality and region set to "any" will give you several results. Pick a complete profile using Preview and download it. You can then use this guide to modify that profile to match your disc. | | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

I'm glad to hear you accomplished what you set out to do.
I've noticed quite a few 2 disc sets in stores around here (California) recently. When you went to Add the discs were they recognized by DVDProfiler?
My guess was that they were the same DVDs that were previously available individually but were now being packaged together. I didn't think that the discs would be re-mastered just to change the Disc I.D.s |

However, funny enough, the versions are not the UK ones, albeit the fact the set is. One was Australian and the other Dutch...  Guess someone had overstock.  | | | | Last edited: by pdmaia |
