Currently the path for the user-data is hardcoded to be under "%userprofile%/my documents/dvd-profiler". One can only change the path to the database, which doesnt influence the place where the user-data is stored.
I would like to keep my "my documents" at least a little bit organized and decide myself where the numerous applications store their data. In my case I have created a subdirectory "application data" (NOT the dir which is directly under %userprofile%) under "my documents" where I want to store all the application related user-data.

This has been requested umpteen gazillion times but Invelos/DVD Profiler does not choose where to create the directories. For some clarification on how the directories are created and why, check Ken's Post concerning this. This was in response to a post regarding Vista but I believe it also applies to XP.

Ups. Iam sorry that I missed that information, but I tried the forum search with various combinations of the words "documents", "my documents", "directory", etc. and did not find any information...
Maybe I missed the post, that you linked because the thread there is about problems with the folders, which I dont have. And the information from Ken (the one and only developer I suppose?) is just one sentence in the whole thread. But fact is that he states that there is no way to configure this directories. Thats right.

Because I also found out that this is not possible, I posted this wish here as a feature request.

Are you sure there is one (or many) other feature requests concering this point? Can you link them for me?

Don't worry about it: the search facility on the forums isn't exactly the best.
I think Max's estimate of "umpteen gazillion" is slightly generous    but it has been asked for before quite a few times - mostly when the new version came out.
It would be nice if it could be made configurable (as Ken says it's only impossible "in the current version"), but I believe it was done because of access rights issues with Vista (which wasn't around when version 2.xx was written).
