Forgive me if this has already been asked, but I was looking around for blu-ray deals and came across this site.  Their prices seem pretty good, but I wanted to see if anybody had heard of them before I took the plunge and bought from them.

I agree with Ruieddaydreams, when you click on the shipping page, you'll get to the Amazon.com shipping info, whether this is positive or not, i'm not so sure.

I guess you could try with something cheap and see, of course that is up to you.

If you decide to buy something and have a positive shopping experience i'd like to know though because the price seem OK.

Not yet, Unicus. But then Amazon is famous for doing their own thing, remember their Star Trek Super set, they assembled it themselves.

But Boxset BD not yet. You had to go and mention it, now go wash your mouth out. It's only a matter of time.

This is basically just a front end for Amazon.  Someone bought the domain name, got some software to generate the web pages and shopping cart and used links Amazon provides for "associates" to hook into specific pages or content.

I have a friend who does something very similar, creating a variety of domains and generating front ends for them linked to Amazon (example).  He plays around with  Google ads as well and manages to get a little income from this (4% on electronics, maybe a little higher on other stuff), though he won't be quitting the day job anytime soon.

The point is you are buying thru Amazon when it is all said and done.

One big caveat.  I added a couple items from the Blu-ray BoxSet page to the cart and then clicked the Checkout@Amazon link.  You are asked for your Amazon username/pw and then are on the real Amazon checkout page.

Here's the warning part.  The items i'd selected were not coming from Amazon proper but from 3rd party sellers in the Amazon Market Place.  It may not be intentional on brboxsets.com part but they have to make some explicit programming decisions to force the use of real Amazon links.  Since it's from the Amazon Market Place the items may or may not be new.  They may be perfectly fine but if it were me i'd select straight from Amazon instead.  (And if you are Amazon Prime, which provides free 2-day shipping, these disc wouldn't qualify because they weren't from Amazon proper.)
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

This has been discussed over at blu-ray.com's forums. He links to the cheapest prices, wether they be in the marketplace or amazon proper. So, you're at your own risk.

Unicus, keep an eye on this forum for the deals that I post. I'll save you a lot of money, trust me. You can even ask James. I think he's not broke yet thanks to me

Personally I would stick with Amazon direct. If I'm going to use an associate link to get to Amazon it will be one from a site where I know the person and he or she will get the benefit. I've looked into the associate program as well. Pretty good program.

OT - Amazon Prime... the best deal on the web!

Thanks for the info.  This is all new to me now.  I hadn't planned on doing anything until Christmas, but surprises happen.

@ NewEnglander

I did notice your Amazon sale link and already have 4 films on order.  Quick question, if you know, the 5th Element...it says 'remastered', does that mean it is not the original release?  I had heard many bad things about the original Blu0ray release of that film.

Thanks again.

Good to hear, it is one of my favorite movies.

I bought some titles from that site, so here's my experience. Indeed is a front end for Amazon marketplace. Once my order came down to 8 or 9 titles, which meant 5 or 6 sellers, either online businesses or Average Joe selling stuff over there. All titles arrived in the promised time frame, all new.
One of the titles was a surprise, in spite of being sealed and everything, the inside disc in the package was a CD advertising for some online web provider (interesting, heh?!). After a short discussion with the sellers (he responded to my first email) I got nowhere. I went back to Amazon since the items were covered by the no risk policy or whatever they called it. I got my money back for the title in question in under 5 hours.

All in all I'd buy again. Some of the deals are insane. You just have to move fast since some titles may not be available in big volumes, so if you browse for more titles at once, by the time you are about to place your order some may not be available anymore (and they let you know before placing the order).

Unicus had two deleted scenes in The Fifth Element. One in which he said Return the Illudium-238 module And the other one had him say Where's the kaboom?

Sorry, Unicus, it was...well you know.
