According to that, he died aged 88, on May the 15th

Most known for being the Original Star Trek theme composer, he was also nominated for the Oscarfor his film work

Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well

The Film Music Society writes: "Courage's eight-note brass signature for the Enterprise may be the single best-known fanfare in the world. When told that more people know it than know Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man, Courage - in his typically self-deprecating fashion - said that must surely be an exaggeration."
