Did you do a backup lately?

If yes try a reinstall of DVDProfiler. Probably SP1 messed up some of the program settings.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I have Vista and installed SP1 with no problems with any of my programs. Maybe it's an issue with the 64-bit version?

No, I'm using Vista x64 SP1 without a problem.

could be hardware related:
Access Violation Error
or database:
Startup problem with version 3.1.1 build 1171

There are no working solutions for my problem. I can start the program with holding down the ctrl button and load my database from online. But when I start the program without the ctrl button I get the same 2 errors.

If you've installed any extra plugins, try uninstalling them.

How there are 2 plugins but I thought they are standard there because I did a clean install.

Just deselecting the plugins might not be completely preventing them from loading, just from being available for use.
To fully uninstall, you can either:
a. Uninstall profiler, then re-install and de-select the plugins option from the list of items to be
installed.
or

To install or uninstall a plugin, open a command prompt and type one of the following commands. Depending on your system configuration, you may have to do this as an Administrator.

    regsvr32.exe <plugin>      - Installs a plugin
    regsvr32.exe /u <plugin>  - Uninstalls a plugin

<plugin> is the full path name of the plugin and must be enclosed in quotes, e.g. "E:\Program Files\Invelos\DVD Profiler\Plugins\CollectionGallery.dll"

But why will that help? Those plugins are standard in the install. I haven't had any problems with them before.

Edit: I have uninstalled the plugins but still the same 2 errors.

You've probably done this already, but just in case: Uninstall DVD Profiler and clean out your system registry of all instances of DVD Profiler. When you reinstall, ensure that you have full Admin rights and make sure that there are no other programs running in the background, i.e., anti-virus, net nannies, firewalls, etc, etc.
