I was wondering if it would be possible to have individual check box's for "credited as" so when you make a contribution from a profile in your collection that has more than one you can tick a check box to contribute only the one you want to (Like when you contribute a new BY).

Example: You have a profile locally that has four "credited as" but cannot contribute because you have no proof (for contributing purposes) that they are the same person you then find proof for one of them but to contribute it you have to change the others back, Contribute and then change them back again after.

I think that is technically not a possibility. The CreditedAs field is a one-field entry. If you wouldn't want to contribute this data, you'll need this info parsed as a three-field entry.

I think what Nick meant was the possibility to check or uncheck each of the changed actors ("credited as" is possibly just used as an example) so that you only contribute the changes you can proove to be correct and keep the others local.

Yes, I know. But how do you want to contribute the ones you decide not to check?
In those cases the name you have entered in the CreditedAs field must be the one which is contributed in the normal first/middle/last name fields (i.e. common name).
How is that supposed to work?

Edit: Now I think I know what you mean. Still I think it is not easy to implement.
