I had it open, and I'm not sure exactly what happened, but now I'm unable to see it.  It's there on the tool bar, but when I minimize or maximize it, I see the...the outer border of it opening a minimizing, but only for a second.

When I right click it to close it, it stays there.  When I go to open it from the desktop, it says Profiler is already running, check for other logged on users, or words to that effect.

I shut off the computer entirely, turned it back on and it's the same routine.

I wish I could articulate it better....it's almost like it's somehow hiding underneath the desktop image.

Any idears?  Yeah, that's right, idears!  Laff...

1. Close the program via Taskmanager (CTRL + ALT + DEL)
2. Keep the "CTRL"-Button pressed while starting the program. That should fix it.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I did it, and the first time I got the eyeball/loading screen, but then the same thing.  I realized, though, that I didn't hold ctrl the whole time.

Tried again, and there it is.  Thanks for the help!

What happened, and how the hell did you know how to fix it?!?

It's a known issue and may happen if the program is closed when minimized or if the computer crashes while the program is opened.

The answer to your question was in the FAQ
