I have just returned to DVDProfiler after a period away from it and was shocked to find that none of my details (user name, password, registration key) are recognised on this site (I have had to set up a new account just to access this forum).

I bought DVDProfiler 2.0.1 in 2002, fully registered, and updated it to v2.4 on an old, dead PC. I am now attempting to install a copy of v2.1 on a new PC and was hoping to be able to update it online. It looks like this is going to be a major problem now.

Could you please tell me how I can install DVDP on my new PC and if I'll have any trouble importing a backup version of my v2.4 database?

Many thanks.

Minutes later: OK, I've found some answers to my questions in a sticky in this section (always check the stickies. ) but I'd still like to make sure I won't be losing any data if I upgrade to v3.

Take a look here and you should find answers.

If you bought the software then you can get a key to the unlimited version. The latest version is 3.1 and is much improved on 2.4.
You should be able to import your 2.4 database into 3 without too many problems.

oh and welcome back! :D

One thing to note when you upgrade is that Profiler 3 now uses all the barcode numbers, we don't knock the front and end ones off anymore.
Because of this, some of your old profiles may not be automatically recognised, simply update the UPC/EAN to use all the numbers and fingers crossed it should link.
