I'm using version 3.1.1 build 1171 and am having a problem that goes back to version 2.5.
Sometimes when I 'Personalize' a dvd to add a 'Location' for it, the 'Location' field is greyed out....I can't type into it.  To get around this, I have to 'Edit' the dvd and choose 'Discs' then 'Add Disc' and then 'OK'.  Then I can go back to 'Personalize' and the 'Location' field is not protected.  Like I said, this only happens about 40% of the time, but it's aggravating.
Does anyone know a solution for this apparent bug?
Thanks...... Tom

It's not actually a bug. You have to have discs assigned to the profile in order to assign location for the discs.

Why are some discs assigned to the profile as soon as they're added to my collection and some aren't?

Because the person who contributed that profile did not fill all data fields. Perhaps they did not have a DVD player in their PC and therefore left the disc ID fields empty. Of course they could have added the discs without disc ID, but they just didn't.
