I get Access Violations dvdpro.exe now and then in XP when running DVD Profiler. Not frequently, though.

Could be a problem of running background tasks, like antivirus scanners. If it's not frequently it could be e.g. every time the scanner makes an online update. Only a speculation but not impossible. I experienced similar problems with Mcaffee Antivirus (not in connection with DVD Profiler though). You should try to observe a regularity of the Access Violations.

Are you running any plugins, customizations etc?. Try to run the profiler with default settings (deactivate plugins, use default layout and translation file) a while and monitor if it happens again!

Windows Aero desktop activated?
Disable Windows Aero
If you are not a fan of Windows Aero, or if you are willing to accept less modern look and feel to improve performance of your PC, you can disable Windows Aero altogether:
1.      Right-click on your desktop and click Personalize (or from menu Start run: Control Panel > Personalization)
2.      Click "Theme"
3.      Choose "Windows Classic" and click OK.
Your screen will gray out for several seconds. When it comes back, windows will have the classic look and Vista will be faster!

You can now go back to Vista look and feel without re-enabling Aero:
1.      Right-click on your desktop and click Personalize (or from menu Start run: Control Panel > Personalization)
2.      Click "Window Color and Appearance"
3.      Choose "Windows Vista Basic" from the "Color scheme" list and click OK.
Again, your screen grays out. After a few seconds, you will now have the standard Vista look and feel but without all the dynamic effects of Windows Aero (the Glass effect, Taskbar Thumbnails or the Flip 3D).

To re-enable Windows Aero, choose "Windows Aero" from the "Color scheme" list mentioned above.

Hello, thanks, the message "access violation dvdpro.exe" no longer appears when windows vista starts. However I still have some problems with DVD Profiler. When I install DVD Profiler everything is OK.The problem starts when I try to refresh DVD Profiler from Invelos for first time. Then the program starts very slowly, needs 10 minutes to start, and, for example, if I want to add dvds don´t recognize any UPC.

I have disabled the firewall and virus checker, and the result of the Test Internet Connection fuction is "succesfully contected to the Invelos server. DVD profiler is configured correctly". Any advice?

you could try to run DVD Profiler with Windows Vista Compatibility Tab:
go to directory where DVD Profiler.exe is installed.
right click on the DVD Profiler.exe
select the properties from the menu
select compatibility tab:
mark Compatibility mode:
select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
Settings:
mark Disable visual themes
mark Disable desktop composition
mark Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

if that does not work try selecting Windows 98 SE/ ME settings
