| | Posted: | | | | I'm in the process of 'booking' my DVD's into albums. I need to get a listing of titles into excel so I can sort them by Album location.
Anyone know how I can to that from profiler? I have about 950 titles, and don't want to type them in.

| | Posted: | | | | I am not an expert at this... but i know the way to do this is under File -> Export Profile Database this allows you to export your collection to an xml document, which excel can read... once you get there, you would have to figure out how to manipulate the data yourself... at least till someone else jumps in to help you out  I would also point out that if you go to a title in your collection, you can right click and choose personalize, this gives you a option to add Location and Slot to your data... instead of creating the excel doc you can simply put Album 1, Album 2, etc in this slot, it will keep track of the data you wish, right inside dvd profiler... you can then use sort by location to order them, and print reports | | | | -JoN | | | | Last edited: by ruineddaydreams |

Tried the regular xml export, but it gave me almost 12000 rows in excel 2007.

In Excel 2003 and above, use the XML Source task pane to create an XML Map for your collection source. This will allow you to pick and choose from all of the exported fields in your XML file, and filter the 12000 rows down to just the info that you're looking to track in the excel workbook.
