| Posted: | | | | I do frequent XML exports of my DVD Profiler database so that I can then import the data into Microsoft Access, run custom reports there, and export the data to my Palm T|X PDA in MobileDB format.
I have noticed that the default directory when I hit "File, Export" is NOT always the same, so I have to navigate almost every time to the proper directory where I want the XML file to be created.
Shouldn't DVD Profiler remember the last directory used?
I do have an ExportDir entry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Invelos Software\DVD Profiler\XMLExport. The key does contain the "correct" value, but the default in the export dialog is wrong.
Any clue?
P.S. I have taken screenshots of this but dunno how to transmit them to whomever might be interested... |

| Posted: | | | | Mmh. Don't have that problem. My profiler does remember where I had set it to the last time.

| Posted: | | | | Same here. It used to remember but now it preselects one which is just 4 directories away from the one I want.. so instead of E:\Homepage_Sites\SF-Brain\phpdvdprofiler it always selects E:\Homepage_Sites\SF-Brain\bookstore | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Instead of D:\Apps it often selects D:\Recycled It wants to put my export directly into the recycle bin It is always the same incorrect path pre-selected if not the correct one is selected. In the registry the correct path had been saved. | | |

Publish them on www.photobucket.com, then right click on the picture and select "copy adress". In the posting window you can then enter the link by clicking on the icon second from the right (the one with the mountains) | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I've reported that issue before. I find that it's best to use a script to export your XML. It's faster to start exporting too.
Create a copy of the DVDP shortcut and alter it to add the following: /CloseExisting /CommandFile=C:\DVDP_Export.txt
Script File OpenDatabase Default ExportXMLAll C:\Collection.xml Close | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |
