Is there a way to break out your format like DVD Spot does? I like how it seperates BD from DVD on the front page. My buddies and I are always looking at each other's web collections and it would be cool to sort like that.

| | Posted: | | | | Currently there's not a whole lot you can do as far as formatting of your online collection. I believe something is in the works to fix up the online collection view, but I don't know to what extent it will be enhanced. However, if you have a place to host it yourself, you can do what you want using PHPDVDProfiler. You can find information about it here: http://dvdaholic.me.uk/forums/index.php. It requires some web knowledge though and a server you can put MySQL and PHP on. Another alternative would be DVD Profile Companion but I don't know if it can do the filtering you want by media type. So I assume that without using PHP DVDProfiler there is not much I can do?
Hmmm that stinks that a free product has it but not one that I paid for...... Don't get me wrong there are many other features that make DVD Profiler still my program of choice, but I am still disappointed. |

| | Posted: | | | | I have over 500 HD discs of both formats and use the "edition: space that follows the TITLE when in the edit mode to enter HD-DVD or HD-BD. Then I filter and use HD- to get all HD discs and use the HD-DVD or HD-BD to get the HD-DVD or Blu-ray discs. It works perfectly for me. |

It works perfectly for me. there are two other ways to do the same as this which you may find easier 1) The general information section of each profile has a box which indicates if this is blu ray / hd dvd or DVD. You can tick this (as appropriate) and then filter by using the Formats Filter2) by using tags. Set one tag as DVD, another as Blu ray etc. Then filter using the Tags FilterI would have thought that option 1) was better since it's using inbuilt functionality | | | | Paul |
