As a new years gift, I have collected some bugs and feature requests during my months of using DPM
.
Here they are :
BUGS
1. Duplicate Cast Members
If a certain actor appears x times in a single profile, you get that same profile x times if you look up the credits list for that actor. This is particularly a problem with television series that have a per episode cast list. The desktop version of DP doesn't show this behavior and only shows an actor once, even if (s)he's mentioned multiple times.
2. 7+ Disks Overwrite the GUI
With a profile that contains 7 disks or more, if you go to the Disc in the Info tab, the information of the 7th disk overwrites part of the GUI that shows the UPC. If you go to other Info tabs, you still see a messed up UPC.
3. Child Profiles Become Standalones after Personalize
Open a boxset profile and select one of the children. Now view the details and Personalize (e.g. give it a rating). After you do that, the child now also appears as a standalone profile in your list and the indentation seems broken. This may be worse than it looks, because if you stop and restart the software, the problem is still there. You have to resync with the desktop to get it right again.
4. Credit Lists don't work for certain Crew types
In a Crew List, click on a Producer or Composer for which you are sure you have many profiles with them (e.g. John Williams as composer). You will only see the one profile you were in, not all the profiles. This is also not for all crew types, e.g. Director works correctly.
5. Long Cast Lists get hidden behind tabs
With a cast list that is longer than 1 page, the last member in the cast is list is only partly visible. The lower part of the line is hidden behind the bottom-page tabs, making it unreadable.
FEATURE REQUESTS
1. Case Type
The Case Type is missing in the profiles. Since one of the main reasons for having DPM is to be able to review your collection when shopping, I think Case Type really should be in there.
2. No Title in Movie Pick
When doing Movie Pick, you only get the cover of the profile. However, if this is a child profile for a single-box parent profile, all children have the same cover and it is therefore not possible to immediately see what movie is meant. You have to go to the Details to then see what movie it is.
If anyone else has other stuff, feel free to add
