| Posted: | | | | By accident I noticed that at least a few titles were missing on my PDA. One of which was the Nightmare on Elm Street box. Another one was the Puppetry of the Penis. Probably not coincidence was the fact that both were UK locality titles (99% of my DVDs are locality Netherlands) and both were rated 18+. However, even if I then checked the 'Adult titles' checkbox in the syncing dialogue, I was still not getting them. After some more trial and error, I eventually managed to get them by changing the 'Adult' definition in the desktop software in the Parental Control settings, from 'Adult or NC-17' to 'None'. Somehow, this seems buggy to me, since what I basically did was make sure none of my titles were marked as 'Adult'. So i would guess that as soon as I have a genuinely adult title (not that I intend to ) I would again not get them. Is anyone else seeing this quirk ? Tnx |

| Posted: | | | | Update. There indeed seems to be an issue with syncing adult titles. I now noticed that I have one DVD that is marked as genre 'Adult'. In the syncing dialogue if I check and uncheck the Adult checkbox, I notice that the figures of estimated memory card usage change accordingly. But when I sync with the checkbox enabled, I still don't get that adult title on my PDA. Anyone any idea what is going wrong ? |

| Posted: | | | | As a workaround, I changed the parental control settings to only consider MPAA rating = Adult as being adult titles. As I don't have 'adult' DVDs, this finally works and I get all the DVDs on my PDA. Weird thing is that I have seen several other threads on this forum regarding syncing issues with adult titles and they all seem have been caused by not checking the Adult checkbox... which in my case isn't the problem... |

| Posted: | | | | I have never experienced any problem with syncing my adult titles to my PDA and I think I have parental controls consider MPAA = Adult as adult titles AND all films with ADULT as genre | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? I bought "The Clockwork Orange" twice because I didn't realise that. Stood in the shop, queried the PDA, saw I did'nt have it. Bought it, and when I got home and filed it in the DVD case ... lo and behold there another copy stood in all its glory. | | | --- ¡Hola! |

| Posted: | | | | That's one reason why I don't like to see titles other than true hardcore "adult" films with an "Adult" genre. While I agree that "A Clockwork Orange" has an adult theme, I see no reason to treat it the same as "A Clockwork Orgy" which is an out-and-out porno. So, for my collection, I only use the "adult" genre for porno. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. Damn, looks like this is indeed why they didn't show up. However, with that sorted out, it is now clear there is another annoying bug: if you sync the PDA with overwriting the desktop, the adult titles are not synced along when Parental Control is enabled. I ran into this when the laptop containing the master database had a disk crash and I had to reinstall DP. After pushing the PDA to the desktop, several profiles were missing (the 'adult' ones). Fortunately I noticed it pretty quickly and then restored the database from a backup instead. |

Not sure one should call it a bug, it actually seems reasonable to me that the PDA shouldn't sync the adult profiles if the parental control feature is enabled. If it was documented a bit more it might be of assistance. | | | --- ¡Hola! |
