| Posted: | | | | Hi, does anyone know a faster way to put in the cast I've already used in the other dividers so I don't have to write them all down every time? I've tried to copy and paste but that won't work. This will take along time if I'm gonna write every cast member for every divider. |

Copy it to the clipboard, insert that in the editor of your choice and you'll see the cast in XML. Now c&p yourself senseless, the structure looks something like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <CastInformation> <Title>$DVD_Title</Title> <Actors> <Divider Caption="$Text"/> <Actor .../> [...] <Divider Caption="$Text"/> <Actor .../> [...] </Actors> </CastInformation> cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | Have you tried copying the cast from the cast window DVDP & pasting into a bog-standard TXT file? this gets you the HTML code which you can then cut-and-paste and add dividers as you wish, finally copy & paste the whole lot back into DVDP.
Edit: Yup, just like Mithi says. | | | Chris | | | Last edited: by Mole |

| Posted: | | | | If you are comfortable in XML as text Mithi's method will work. I use it a lot myself. If you have Excel and want to not see all the tags when copying/pasting/editing consider Goodguy's Excel template | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

If you have MS Excel, you can use my Credits Editor ( see this thread) to easily edit cast and crew data. | | | Matthias |

| Posted: | | | | This might sound stupid, but I can't find the clipboard. Otherwise this program looks great Matthias! |

| Posted: | | | | The clipboard is part of the Microsoft Operating System (Windows or Vista). It is the place that the operating system stores data temporarily when you copy or cut data so that you can later paste it somewhere. You don't need to know where it is, just how to use the copy/cut and paste functions. |

| Posted: | | | | An alternative to goodguy's Excel-tool (e.g. if you don't own Excel) would be probably the DVDProfiler Cast & Crew Editor. | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |

Is it possible that your security settings in Excel do not allow the execution of macros? You can check this in Excel under Extras/Options/Security/Macros (this is an example of Excel 2002, German edition)! | | | Thorsten |

Are you using the Copy button Goodguy provides on screen? I brain froze once and used the Excel Copy (Edit | Copy) function and it was rejected when i tried to Paste. I used the Copy button on screen and it worked. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |
