I've been attempting to add viewings of DVDs, particuarly from when I first started logging when I was watching them in 2001, and whenever I enter a date with either a day or month beginning with 0, (e.g. 06/12/2001) it switches the day and month round and puts 12/06/2001 in the profile.
If I change it, it just swaps them back again.

If I enter a date such as 24/10/2001, it works.

For some reason, it's taking any date with 0 as a month instead of a day.

Any ideas?

It uses the format which is set in your system's regional settings. It seems yours is dd/mm/yyyy.
On my machine for example it is dd.mm.yyyy.

I checked that.
I'm in the UK and my PC is set to the correct UK settings.

If I enter a date where the day is a higher number than the month, it enters correctly, i.e. 23/11/2007

However, if I enter a date where the day is a lower number than the month, it just switches them around as if it were the US format, ie. I enter 06/10/2007, but after I click ENTER or OK, it puts 10/06/2007 in the view history.

I tried to reproduce this, but everyting's just fine on my PC. So probably Tom is right and the problem is on your PC.
Try to repair your regional settings of Windows by first setting them to US or whatever, reboot your machine and then reset to UK.
Please let us know if that helped
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Cheers for looking.
I'll have another go tonight, and let you know.

as others have said - I use UK settings with no problem. It may be some setting for the keyboard which isn't matching up the language for windows.

Hi,

I couldn't find anything in any settings to indicate a problem, alas.

However, I've rebuilt my PC last week after adding a load of memory and having a cleardown, and what do you know, it's working OK.

Odd, but at least it's working correctly now.

Cheers.
