I'm on 3.1.1.

I added a new title tonight and now it has a light green highlight.  I have no clue what it means or how to get rid of it.  After a few years of using the program, I've never seen a highlighted title before.  It is the only one that is.

Of course, other than the grey highlight when the title is selected :D

It's a highlight to denote newly released DVDs.  You can turn it off by right clicking on your collection list and unselecting "Highlight New Releases" from the menu there.

Alternatively you can go under Tools -> Options -> Display and there is a checkbox there you can use to disable the feature or change the number of days it considers a new release or change the color.

Thanks.  Must have been a feature that was added in 3.x.  I've been way behind in getting DVDs and ultimately they've always been more than 7 days out from the release date.

That is until this particular release

It doesn't even have to be green, you can choose the color. Or make it invisible. See Tools/Options.

Skip, the search system is not really great, I think that we can agree on this. You have to really know what you search and what word to use. I know that I've to search something not so long ago and it was long to find it (a lot of word guessing). If I'm on the forum everyday and I have difficulty, imagine someone who isn't there often ...
