The database is stored on my server (Windows Small Business Server 2003R2), to which the "\My Documents folder\DVD Profiler\" folder is also redirected.  Both are cached for off-line use and I use roaming user profiles stored on the server.  This allows me to log on from either of two laptops or a workstation to open the DVDProfiler database - whether I'm connected to the network or not.  DVDProfiler is only opened on one PC at any one time.
The two laptops still open DVDProfiler (and the database) without a problem, but the workstation now crashes out at the DVDProfiler splash screen.
I've tried the usual removal and re-install, wiping registry entries, starting with a blank database, repairing the database, etc., without success.  Running v.3.1.1.1171 on WinXP-Sp2, fully patched.

From the various sized windows that quickly open and close before the splashscreen starts to appear (and crashes), I suspect it may have something to do with display drivers - even though neither they nor program or other updates have been installed since the last time the program launched successfully.  A re-install of display drivers hasn't helped.

Are there any command line switches that can be used with DVDProfiler?

Have you already reported this problem to Ken?
Probably he knows what went wrong.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Sorry.  Not yet reported to KC.
Had to stop playing and dig a customer out of a self dug hole - only just finished at 01:45 am!  The joys of being self-employed.

Found the cause!
A clash/incompatibility between DVDProfiler and Matrox PowerDesk HF settings.
When used with a Windows desktop spread over multiple monitors, Matrox PowerDesk allows applications to open and/or be maximized on particular displays.  These settings cause DVDProfiler to crash when launched.
