| Posted: | | | | My DVDProfiler was working fine until recently, but when I try to updload my collection online I now get the error: "0/0/0000 is not a valid date". The same thing happens if I try to backup my database, which concerns me.
I have no idea what the source of this is, or what discs may have that entered as a date. Anyone have a clue? |

| Posted: | | | | This rings a bell. I think it's got something to do with a corrupted date in a profile. In order to track it down you need to backup your database into two halves, then try and upload half of it. If that succeeds you know it's in the other half, so half the damaged half again and keep going until you've got a manageable number of profiles to check for the bad date. The dates to check are purchased, released, loaned, watched - I can't think of any others. |

| Posted: | | | | Do you have the most recent version installed? Ken fixed some date bugs a little bit. |

| Posted: | | | | If you have to find the profile, cant you sort by DVD release date or Purchase date or any other date... this will find it if the date itself is wrong.. (if there are no other mysterious non visible date problem)

| Posted: | | | | Recently I tried to mark a bunch of discs as "Watched", but I didn't remember the dates that I'd watched them, so I left that field blank. Could that be it? When I try to fix that, there doesn't seem to be any way to change the date. When I enter a date, it instead marks me down as having watched the disc twice.
This is version 3.0.3, if that helps.
I'm wary of upgrading to a new version if I can't backup the database first. |

| Posted: | | | | That could be it. I don't use the "watched" system myself so don't know exactly how it works. If there aren't too many of them, you could remove and re-add the profiles affected - that should clear the problem (I hope!) edit: if you are able to backup after doing this, I'd upgrade to the new version too! | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | OK, I've just had a quick play - try this: Open up the "Watched By" window and click on "edit users". On the right side of the Edit Users window are three tabs: Information, Loan Status & History. If you select the user involved (yourself I guess) then click the History tab, you get a list of all the events, you can then select and delete specific events. Hopefully that will clear the database of invalid dates without any removal of profiles. |

| Posted: | | | | I've recently been having the same problem and installing the newest version (in my case 3.1.1) seems to have fixed it... |
