| Posted: | | | | I keep my HD DVDs and Blu-ray Discs separated from my DVDs, and I handle this by inserting a period (or dot) before the title of each HD movie (the two HD formats are not separated) for its sort title, while the actual title gets "(HD)" added to the front. This way, the collection reads alphabetically with a section of HD movies at the beginning before getting to the DVDs.
If I wanted to undo this, the easiest way would be to export the database to an XML file, and replace instances of "<SortTitle>." with "<SortTitle>" and to remove instances of "(HD)" but there's no way to import that XML file back into DVD Profiler. Are we going to be able to do this at some point, or should I just drop this system for something else?
Or, if there is a way to do this that I've missed, I'd appreciate knowing what it is. | | | Last edited: by Drexl |

| Posted: | | | | Firstly you coud use tags for this. Ok, they won't be ordered but with one click you only see HDs or SDs
Secondly you could use the collection number. I for example use numbers less than 1000 for movies, from 1001 to 2000 for TV shows and 2001 - 3000 for special interest. Then you reassign the collection number by alphabetical title. If you then order by number you have sections and within the titles are ordered alphabetically. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
