| Posted: | | | | I'm running Vista, and any time I try and use the 'Fill Color' tool in the report editor I get the error: "access violation at address 00781890 in module 'dvdpro.exe'. Read of address 0000000C."
Looking around at the forum I see a lot of problems like this, but no fixes. How...disappointing for a program I just paid for.
Is there any way to get this to work? |

Seems to me this Would be a Vista problem in the long run,, See if you can use the same applicaiton on an XP PC.., If it works there and not on Vista definately a Tech problem.. Otherwise your comments of "How...disappointing for a program I just paid for. " and your 1 post leads me to imagine you are very new user.. Welcome. In the mean time while you assocaiate yourself with all the features that Invelos has to offer.. Try not to use the Fill Color tool for a couple of days .., (I have never used that tool and I have been running the program since the iniatiation.. ) Are you try to create New disc Art Covers etc ..? in the report editor? I run reports all the time, but using the standard images and colors that come already.. (Have never tried to tweak any profiles as it looks like you may be trying to achieve.) That particular area looks to me like an area, I would be looking at last., as only well acquainted persons would be tackling this area first with a 'New Paid for Program' on a Microsoft Vista .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | I just checked, and I get the same problem on Vista 64 bit when trying to fill a box. The fill color of a text field work just fine (and you do not need to enter any text, so it might be a workaround). Terry, I am not sure I understand what you are trying to say with "Tech problem"? It is a technical problem but this apply to most bug reports, so I guess this is not what you mean? I can also read it as "the problem is in Vista", but there clearly isn't enough data to confirm that (personally I consider it possible but unlikely). If you mean "A problem with DVD Profiler only appearing when running Vista" then it is not unlikely you are right. | | | Regards Lars |

| Posted: | | | | i am running vista 32bit ultimate as well and can confirm this bug
"access violation at address 00787D08 in module 'dvdpro.exe'. Read of address 0000000C."
lowerys: the program in general works fine in vista, and is constantly being updated... in fact we are currently beta testing a new release right now, as a paid member you do have access to that beta, if you want to venture into the beta forum, you can download the beta and see if this bug exists (i did not see it on the list of fixes) and if you do see it in the beta still, report it in the beta forum as well...
while i do know ken monitors this forum, i also know that bugs and feature requests mentioned in the beta forum, during beta testing seem to get resolved/added faster...
have no worries, it will get fixed, in the meantime, i see you are new... so as Terry pointed out... i would suggest while this hopefully is fixed soon, you can familiarize yourself with some of the programs other great features, and have no worries... you purchase will be well worth it. | | | -JoN |
