| Posted: | | | | Hi everybody (and thanks in advance for your attention). When I try to open the program, it gets ""blocked """ For some seconds all seems to be ok, but when it should be already running the windown gets minimized on the task bar and nothing happens. I have tried to open it but doesn't work. I have even tried to reinstall the program but nothing changes. ¿Can anybody help me pleaseeeeeeee? I'm quite desperate | | | Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. |

| Posted: | | | | I occasionally see a bug in Windows, where a program is running but not visible because its window is positioned off the screen. If this is the case here, the following will help: Right-click on minimised program icon in the toolbar, and choose Move. Now press some of the arrow keys, and you should see a window outline appear on the screen, and then press enter.
I hope this helps. |

| Posted: | | | | What options do you get when you right-click on Profiler in the taskbar?
Also, what screen resolution are you running? I'm asking cos I read in another thread that Profiler needs a minimum of 1024x768 to work properly and a smaller screen resolution can have very strange side-effects. |

Thanks for your reply, the problem has occurred since installing DVDProfiler v3.1.0 1151, worked fine before this :-( Screen res 1152x864 Only options I get when clicking on the minimised DVDProfler are Minimize, Restore and Close. Looks like I will have to do a System Restore and go back to the previous version | | | Last edited: by Harbottle |

| Posted: | | | | Try clicking on "restore" - it might move the window back into a visible area of the desktop (if that's what's happened to you). Also, what you could do is try installing one of the beta versions - now that command line scripts are available, you can run the program and perform a backup before you have to do a system restore and possibly lose some of your database. |

I tried installing the Beta, when running that I got a message saying the database was damaged. After running the repair program I restarted and was met once again with the prog just sitting in the taskbar :-( I have given up and did a System Restore, reverting to a previous version and although the prog gives me a few warning messages that I need to update to a newer version it loads okay and my database is bang up-to-date. Hope the next version is problem free |

| Posted: | | | | Hi. I also just had this problem of the program being minimized to the taskbar and not being able to restore it. The Press and hold CTRL while the program is starting once. worked for me thankfully. Anyway I would like to know what caused it in the first place and what holding CTRL does, as I was using it earlier the today and the program worked fine. Is this a reproducible problem or bug I have caused by doing something in dvd profiler? Thanks very much ...now back to adding dvds Bye. | | | Last edited: by toolkit200 |

| Posted: | | | | I've heard that this problem occurs if Profiler is closed or crashes while minimized. When you next run the program it stays minimized and you can't restore it. Pressing CTRL when opening tells Profiler to display in it's default position (maximized) so solves the problem. |

| Posted: | | | | I am once again having DVDP lock up intractably if I minimize it for any length of time; I have to reboot to get it going again. I know, don't do that. But it seems to me this problem cropped up in a prior beta and was fixed easily. It seems to be back again in the current build though.
