I've tried downloading the file again, tried deleting my current version of DVDProfiler but can't get past this error.
Can anybody help?

If you were a 2.5 user then you were probably a premium user so upgrade your registration (I see that you have not done that yet as you are registered as a free user). |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the quick response. I'm not sure how being either registered or not would create an error during installation but...
Just for the record, I've never paid for my use of the software if that is how a registered user vs. free user is determined?
I have read the page you referenced and I don't see where anything is mentioned regarding installation errors.
Could you provide more help please?
Thank you, George -bub
The reason I even tried upgrading is that I was considering becoming a paid user as my collection is getting rather large and I do use the program quite a bit and am not adverse to paying for the privilege for continued use. |

| Posted: | | | | The two products, IVS 2.5 and Invelos 3.1 use different database backs ends so you need to backup your 2.5 database and restore it into 3.1. Before you perform the backup of 2.5, do a database repair.
Once you have your data in version 3.1, update the online profile list (Online-Refresh Online Profile List), then refresh the updated profiles (Online-Refresh Updated Profiles from Invelos).
The new features in version 3.x are great and well with the purchase price. Let us know how you go with the upgrade. |

Can you give more information? What operating system are you using? What service packs have you installed? How much Ram have you got? How much free disk space? Can you try deleting the cache within the browser and then re-try downloading the program (so you remove any trace of the file you tried downloading). | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Hi, your CPU isn't possibly a 64 Bit AMD? Because I had the same problem with my installation. The fault was the processors virus protection. I don't know the english name for this but in german it is "Datenausführungsverhinderung" This should be set so, that only Windows services are protected. Defaultsetting for AMD is complete protection for all programs. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I really do want to get this figured out. Now that I no longer am able to use the program, I'm missing it. |

| Posted: | | | | Try extracting the setup.exe file to your hard drive, then run from a command prompt (start->Run):
SETUP /LOG=C:\DVDProLog.txt
Use any log file name of your choice, then post the results to this thread. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |

Here is what I'm doing... I have the setup.exe file in the root of drive p so I type, p:\setup /log=p:\dvdp.txt I get the exact same error and no text file. George -bub |

I wasn't exactly asking about your OS but about your processor. Sorry 'bout that. No, my processor is not 64 bit. Just an ordinary P4 3.0ghz. I appreciate the help, still trying to get profiler installed. George -bub |

| Posted: | | | | I just gave your problem over to Google, it seems that "Read of address 0000000A" indicates a driver problem, or sometimes missing bugfixes of Windows. Is your OS up to date? Latest drivers installed? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
