You obviously did not read my post well. I am not saying anything about additional members bought at a later date (I also have boxes like that and there it is fine and desirable that the newly bought members have higher numbers).
I am specifically talking about children that are all bought on the same day.
E.g. I bought 2 (full) boxes and 2 DVDs on the same day.
The collection numbers are like:
Box1 = 839, 840, 843
Box2 = 841, 842, 845
DVD1 = 844
DVD2 = 846
I guess I'm not alone finding this awkward and preferring that all members of each box have sequential numbers.

PS: I already found a workaround though, although it is far from optimal: you can modify the Sort title to make sure that all members stick together. E.g. If you have a box "Actor A Trilogy" with members "Movie 1", "Film 2", "Animation 3", you could give them sort title "Actor A Trilogy 1", "..2" and "..3". The major problem with this however, is that if you sort ignoring the parent profiles, you will see your "Movie 1", "Film 2" and "Animation 3" somewhere between "Action Fraction" and "Addicted".
