One of my frineds at work has been in my office a few times and looked at my install of DVD profiler. He's very interested in the products but doesn't want to purchase it/them if it doesn't work with his hardware.

I've searched and I can't find any reference to smartphones other than in an entry discussing Blackberries, that Smartphones may be supported.

His Smartphone is the PanTech-820 using “Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0” Is there any way to know if this will run on this device before he makes a purchase?  Thanks.

DVDP Mobile requires a touch screen to work properly.

If his phone does not have that it will not work properly.

Or does the mobile version need to be registered before it works?

And please be aware (to avoid trouble with installing) that the correct versions of dvd profiler and dvd profiler mobile go hand in hand: mobile v1.04 and dvd profiler 3.03!

He has tried the free downloads, but he got an error on the Mobile side.  It won't even launch, much less synchronize.  So we are trying to figure out if this is on our side or if the software just doesn't work on Smartphones in general. 

PC running Vista Enterprise, all updates.  Smartphone with Win Mobile 5.0 and all updates.

According to the products page, the program should work on Mobile 5.0, so it could be the smartphone.
Have you tried posting in the Mobile Tech Support forum, you might get more luck there?
