I like to add BY to my data base, what at the end make impossible to contribute most of the new titles I'm including locally. I really believe that many people can benefit of having such new titles added and not being forced to retyping evarything, therefore it would be a nice "add-in" to have the opportunity to contribute everything except cast and crew.

I want this too. But not only for cast and crew, for all of it. Like when you upload to an existing profile. It will make more people want to contribute. Since they can contribute what follows the rules, and keep the things which they use as a personal preference local.
I have a few I want to contribute, but I can't since there is BY connected to many of the cast and crew. And this is DVDs that aren't in the online database.
