As it is now, we can click an entry an drag it to move it between dividers.  Being able to easily copy would make things a lot easier when profiling TV Series.  Maybe this could be achive by holding down the ctrl key while dragging.

It's not the same thing.  This other request that I made uses the clipboard so you could take the entire cast from a profile and append it in another profile.  Since the rules on disc profiling of TV Series seems to be going toward having the everything at the box set and the discs, with this feature you could enter all the information for a disc on its child profile, copy the whole thing to the clipboard and then just paste it in the box set profile.

Here I'm talking about copying a single entry within a give profile.  If you've ever entered cast & crew of a TV Series by episode you know that you have to retype the same names over and over again.  I just finished one season of "Fame", 4 discs, 4 episodes per disc, I had to retype most of the names 16 times, it would have been a lot easier to pick what I needed from the first episode and simply drag a copy of it under the dividers for the other ones.

I'd love that too.

And I know what you mean Touti, about the tedium of doing cast from scratch. I just did Ark II and Space Academy a few weeks ago. But until we can get some more functionality int he program, what I did was do the first episode with the regular cast, then copy & paste into notepad. Then I just did a copy/paste of that 3 more times, and I had the cast for all four episodes of the one disc. Then I copied it back to DVDP, and made the necessary corrections to the episode dividers.

Mind you, you have to delete some of the markup language, but it was pretty easy.

Cast isn't too bad because it's reasonably easy to do in the way you described.  Crew however is a bit more difficult because of all the extra tags in the XML data. It's very easy to make a mistake and screw the whole thing up.
