So I had an idea for a layout but I know it will be a bear to create. I, admittedly, have no clue to create a layout so I thought I'd throw my idea up here, so the masses will either know I'm a freakin' genius or an incredible buffoon.

My idea went thusly: The layout would consist of the spines of the DVD cases, spine out, like a shelf. Clicking on the spine would open a fly-out of that DVD's info, perhaps summarized, but can be clicke on to bring up the full window.

I know that there would have to be a separate collection of spine scans, so this may never fly but ideas left unsaid remain that way.

That's for the online DB.  Doing something like what Bluefox75 is requesting would require people to scan their own spines and store them in a folder somewhere, they would never make their way to the online db.
