| Posted: | | | | In the version 3, it's also not able to filter a DVD by the Collection-Number! I've hope so, that this "standard" feature will be in, but ... |

| Posted: | | | | Well, so i think this feature should be in the next update! Other DVD programs have this standard feature, starting from the version 1.0! I do not understand why the DVD Profiler haven't it. It is a very good software, and with this feature it would be then singularly! |

| Posted: | | | | For me it would be for information audit purposes. I have my collection number reflect my filing location and I would then be able to list only those titles from an area of filing for ease of selection. I realise sort would help, but it would be easier to filter only those titles for a given selection. | | | <---------Mithrandir, Laverne and Shirley Caroline |

Thanks, I was afraid to ask because I didn't want to look stupid but frankly I don't see it either. Unless they are talking about the possibibility of filtering on a range of numbers. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W | | | Last edited: by Touti |

I already mentioned this in the other topic about the same feature (yes, there's two): It would be kinda useful for me as I store some information outside of DVD Profiler (example: a file containing FULL company info on any dvd/movie) where I only use the collection number to identify items. This would allow me to find the corresponding movie faster than with the current method (sorting by dvd number, scroll). Do I really need it? Nope. | | | - Jan |

| Posted: | | | | So Guys, the problem what i have is this one: I have much DVDs, und to search for the title is not always simple! For Example: The Movie SIN CITY is in the Profiler called Frank Miller's Sin City. So i can search hour and hour, i wouldn't find nothing by searching for SIN With the Collection Number Filter there where no Problem! There are much more of this (and other Problems) what would be solved with this feature! And yes i now, that i can rename the Title. But that is not the problem! Further i would not rename every fitle, to find them in the future... ok? If you will not need or use this feature, it's ok. But it looks, there where more people which find that feature good, so let us post our ideas and find them good, if someone want to make the programm better than now! Greets! |

Actually, the "trick" to use is the "Full Substring Search" button (in my collection filtering for SIN with full substring search gives me 6 results, one of them being Frank Miller's Sin City) | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Really? I'm curious how you know what the collection number is for Sin City? And how you'd filter for the number. If you know the number, why not just sort by it and then scroll to the right one? I'm not saying this is a bad feature request, I just don't understand your example. | | | -fred |

Just like FredLooks just said, I don't disagree at all with the request, just wanted to understand the need for it. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W |

| Posted: | | | | ok, i have now trie to search with "Full Substring Search" and its ok! @ FredLooks: I now the number, because there's a sticker on each dvd... ok? For me it will be easierly to have these feature, because i don't want to scroll up and down, and sort and that all. I now it sounds funny, but that's reality for me |
