My PC broke down.....
Had made just in time a backup file from DVDP.....
But my pc is already gone for repairse for four days now.., and still no phonecall that it is ready...
All those days without DVDP...., what a horror..., what a horror....

I'm on my dad's pc now, so i can log in to this site to "sniff" around a bit to get some DVDP "shots" to maintain my adiction...

And I had to get a new laptop during the "quiet time" of Invelos

So, even worse humanity - I had to get a new Vista'd laptop... with only version 2.5 to work with...

Oh well.

It is all good now
Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen]
Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well

There's no way you had to buy a new system because of a pop-up. There must have been something else wrong. "Format C:" cures the absolute worst case infection I've ever had to give up on. Or were you just waiting for an excuse to upgrade?

Well, if the pop-up ended up taking them to a site where they entered a credit card number, etc and submitted - then yes, a pop-up could lead up to having them buying a PC.

what ended up happening was my harddrive was disappearing before my eyes. she said the pop-up was one of those virus detectors type of thing, well they had no problem finding that one. did lose some stuff I hadn't gotten around to backing up but dealt with it. can't get mad at her, she does help support the habit, and doesn't give me grief about the mess in the basement. just have to take the good with the bad, though she is still not allowed near the stove ever again!!! never knew meat could explode like that, scared the bejesus out of me.

welcome back, Zwollenaar, hopefully you have better luck with this one!!
Klunkster, The meat in question was pork chops, the weapon used was a microwave, the end result: a pretty loud KA-BANG, no meat on the plate. ordered Dominos.
