Is that latter comment really true? DVDP has complete and powerful facilities, augmented by plugins, to convert its profile data into just about any format, unless of course the target product has no import function.

Anyway I think you're missing the point here.
I wish you'd commented on my opinion about the Unicode support than telling me that it's easy to abandon PVD for another Application.
I still believe that DVDP is really great Application

I agree unicode support would be great. And I certainly was not advocating that you switch. That is your decision, which you said you would do - but for the effort to start over. The other alternative would be to convert: that word "convert" to me, is like throwing a pup a biscuit treat - I jumped at it (even though I threw it myself)
