I presume Ken would have some idea, and there are things I'm interested in that haven't shown up in any of the feature requests so I'm confident that they're not very much missed. --------------- |

| Posted: | | | | I hope we will have the ability to select both 3D and 2D on the same profile if required. There are the obvious cases of BD sets with both versions, but also some TV shows jumped on the bandwagon and did episodes in 3D - Medium springs to mind. |

Going by what Ken said... the Medium episode you are talking about will be under a 2D selection.... 2D Anaglyph (a term I never heard of before). Quoting Ken Cole:Quote: The defaults are 2D and Color. However, the DVD->Paste (and Collection->Flagged->Paste) have checkboxes for Color Format and Dimensions, so these are quick to set.
The options for dimensions are (checkboxes): 2D, 2D Anaglyph, and 3D Blu-ray. The 2D Anaglyph has the following hint: "Blue/red glasses or similar, or splitscreen"
The options for color are (drop-down): Color, Black & White, Colorized, and Mixed.
I realize that splitscreen isn't technically Anaglyph, hence the hint. These need to be grouped somewhere and splitscreen is too rare to merit it's own field. | | | Pete |

My impression is the two issues are unrelated. Anaglyph is an outdated 3D technology, whereas Pantheon is talking about Blu-ray releases containing both 2D and 3D versions of the same film. |

| Posted: | | | | Where he specifically mentioned the Medium episode (2nd or 3rd season) I believe he is talking about DVDs as well. That is a DVD set. Not even on BD yet... at least not here in R1 US. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Addicted2DVD is correct. The episode of Medium in question was on the set as both a 2D version and a 3D version with the blue/red glasses included.
So, my hope/concern is that we will be able to select both 3D and 2D on a profile to indicate that both are included. |

| Posted: | | | | If it comes with blue/red glasses, then that would indeed be Anaglyph. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Ken...
Please reconsider the dropdown for the color/B&W/Colorized... I have several (box sets and 2 movies on a single side of a disc) that has a B&W movie and a Color movie. So checkboxes would be better here too! | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | The Color/B&W addition was discussed at length in the feature requests forum and the current implementation is based on the consensus. "Mixed" would be the entry with this implementation. Revisiting this at this point would delay the release.
If either of you feel strongly about the change, I suggest re-opening the thread in the feature requests forum to discuss. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

If either of you feel strongly about the change, I suggest re-opening the thread in the feature requests forum to discuss. I understand what you are saying Ken... and I can accept it not being changed. But I got to say... calling this situation mixed is making mixed count for two situations. Something like The Wizard of Oz movie (which is what was discussed). And 2 separate movies on a single side of a disc (was never discussed that I know of). Situations like this... Having one setting for 2 different situations is not an ideal solution that is for sure. I wasn't trying to change how it was handled... just was trying to allow us to record correctly when there is more then one in a set or on a single sided disc. But as I said... I can understand if it is too late to change for this release. | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |
