I wanted to watch this one with my daughter... but she wouldn't have any part of this one for some reason. But I still enjoyed it quite a bit... even if I did have to watch it on my own. The father being an artist/inventor did make him out to be a bit out there... but I guess he had to be where the story had to go. I really liked Anna Paquin in this early role... probably one of her first roles... as the teen age girl that had to fly the geese south for the winter. I really became a fan of hers after seeing her in the Showtime series True Blood. So it is pretty cool seeing her in such an early role. I also liked Dana Delaney as the father's girlfriend. As I said... I really enjoyed this one. A real feel good type movie. My Rating: 4/5 | | | | Pete |

Even though this is little more then an entertaining teen slasher... I do enjoy seeing the familiar faces. Just to name a few we have one of my all-time favorites Jennifer Love Hewitt who I absolutely adored in Ghost Whisperer, then there was Sarah Michelle Gellar who was of course Buffy the Vampire Slayer and then there was Johnny Galecki who was in Roseanne and is currently starring in The Big Bang Theory. But as I was saying... over all not a terrible horror. It is entertaining for what it is... but don't go into this one with too high of expectations. My Rating: 3.5/5 | | | | Pete |

The Legend of Zorro... even though I have owned it for almost a year now (got it for my birthday last year). Since I plan on watching it here soon I wanted to remind myself of this one first. I must say... I forgot how much fun this movie is. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It has plenty of good action/adventure as well as just the right amount of comedy mixed in. The movie is also well paced... you never feel the least bit bored while watching. And the entire cast does a great job. And of course Catherine Zeta-Jones looked just amazing. Sitting here looking at the above list and I see a few I would like to check out. I would like to check out Audition as I heard a lot about that one. | | Posted: | | | | I would also recommend the South Park film. It's funny, non-p.c. and one of those films you're a bit embarrassed to admit you like so much. However there is singing. A fair amount of it. Just FYI. You own Deuce Bigalow? I'm sorry. Is there anything I can do for you? This has to be one of the worst movies ever made. I couldn't even sit through it. It's awful. It's not even funny like South Park is funny, where you laugh anyway, no matter the topic because they could make it funny. Maybe some people liked it, but it's horrible. And that's my opinion...I'm sure there are some people, maybe, I guess, somewhere, out there that liked it, but for me, I'd either put it on the bottom of your pile to watch or burn it. Seen several good reviews for it. And I basically agree. Though I did have a bit of trouble with the subtitles. I am a rather slow reader so there was some pausing and rewinding going on... even though most the dialog was fairly short and to the point.... some of it was not. I like how they built up this movie... basically going from a drama to a psychotic horror movie. There is some graphic violence in this one. It is a pretty disturbing film. And it is one that will leave you thinking well after the movie is over. If you never seen this one... it is definitely worth checking out. My Rating: 4/5 | | | | Pete |
