You only have to look at the screenshot and headshot database threads to show how nice these forums can be and I agree with you 100%. I too would vote yes if someone has made a minor error on a significant contribution but I would also PM them. If they didn't change the submission or respond to my PM, I'll submit after the initial contribution has gone through. If it's a minor error on a small contribution I'd vote no and do the PM though. | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |

I hope you are referring to insulting comments made by most other users, who come to this thread merely to insult, James, north and others, others who come here simply to pour gasoline on a fire, and furthermore including users such James, north , alien and others who start and partici[ate in threads which are merely an attack on one user, I am shocked that Ken permits such gross behavior and were I him I would never have permitted such threads in any way. This entire thread is an embarrassment. You poured the gasoline by starting this thread in the first place. As you say when you post about others, I have not insulted you. I have spoken the truth. You have no room to talk about others. Come down off your pedestal and partner up with the rest of us mere mortals. You're no better than anyone else. If you take that as an insult or an attack, to quote yourself "It's not personal, if take it so, that is your problem."

Quote: James you are so full of it. You lost your credibility YEARS ago, bubba. You know how to count beans I have no doubt...but that's about your limit. I'm not from the South, so I'm not your bubba. And just to let you know, I'm proud of my profession and don't take offense to being called a bean counter by a pizza delivery man. You assume too much as usual. I haven't done that for years. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Quote: You have a very high opinion of what I consider to be 2nd rate images, at best. You, on the other hand, have a long-standing prefence for oversaturated images, and, judging from earlier image debates where the community compared images right here in the forums, probably a badly calibrated monitor. Look: it really doesn't matter - images are subjective, and they always will be. If the majority of the voters like them, and the screeners consider them to be a "significant improvement", then you've got nothing to win by maintaining that they're rubbish. Just keep your perfect scans to yourself and be happy with them, like everyone else - it's really not that hard. That is exactly what I do, not only with my images but with my data, for the most part. I don't have the time or the desire to running around cleaning up after you or anyone else, but a mess is being made of the Online...every day, it gets worse. Mty advice to you< james, tighten up on your voting, stop wearing blinders and actually inspect the Contributions, that will correct many of the mistakes you make. I have never had an issue with your Contributions, they are generally good and when you are advised of an error you generally fix it. But, your voting is atrocious, just constructive criticism. I hope you are referring to insulting comments made by most other users I'm sure Kathy will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe she's talking about such comments as: "Be a good boy and bugger off." "Jerk" "So, before you engage your keyboard, engage your brain FIRST." "That was just idiotic" "you are so utterly clueless." "you are so full of it." "Now go away." |

Quote: I would prefer a "no" vote so that I can reassess my contribution. I always double check and more times than not I have made an error which I will correct. If I disagree I might edit my notes or pm the person to explain my rationale.
There will always be disagreements. I have no problems if there are differences in opinions, that is to be expected.
What I have a problem with is rude behavior either on the forums or in a private message; this is uncalled for and unacceptable...period. Kathy:
I hope you are referring to insulting comments made by most other users, who come to this thread merely to insult, James, north and others, others who come here simply to pour gasoline on a fire, and furthermore including users such James, north , alien and others who start and partici[ate in threads which are merely an attack on one user, I am shocked that Ken permits such gross behavior and were I him I would never have permitted such threads in any way. I am referring my comments to anyone who says mean things. For example, ask yourself "Have I ever written something that I would not say to my parents, my clergy, my significant other?" Or, "Would I want someone to talk to me this way?" If the answer is yes then I mean you. I am not perfect, I have sometimes wanted to say something that might not be the right thing to do. But, I think about what I am feeling, what I would say, and the impact that might have on others. I find rude and insulting postings unnecessary, unproductive and leave me very uncomfortable. The community has lost some very valuable members due, in part, to these types of comments. I believe in the power of positivity. I find that looking for what people do right achieves greater results than looking for the mistakes. It fosters good feelings and leads to people striving to be better. I also believe that the opposite is true. If one looks for what people do wrong then there is no incentive to try. It fosters resentment and leads to hurt feelings, anger and lashing out. So, I would ask the community to try and make the forums a place that fosters good will. Present your comments and criticisms in a positive light. Try and make people feel better with what you say. And if you have something negative to say, don't say it, keep it to yourself. | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

Hey hockey puck, that was corrected within seconds after Sam posted it. how many times have corrected a vote...answer ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have never corrected an errant vote, instead you usually spin it to death instead of saying whoops. But nice try, James I don't ever expect to deal in anything other slander, invictive and even patronizing. I would pass out if you ever demonstarted a real knowledge of that which speak. I even said that i had corrected that vote and you still.... james, you are a joke. Sorry | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here
