Looking good Ken... -kd5- No, existing locks will not be altered. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks, Blair. That's bugged me for a long time and never knew I could fix it. This site is really the only one I have that problem with and now the screen looks much better! | | | Lori |

Did you include all 4 Difference... Color, B&W, Colorized & Mixed?
I believe that is what the request came down to at least. | | | Pete |

Yeah... best is very subjective. So far the best for me is the new comparison screen. I personally don't really care about the CoO but I do know that multiple CoO fields has been asked for every since we got a CoO field.
To be honest... nothing got me really excited yet.
My top wishes for this release would have been...
- Play All check box in features (for TV Eps., Shorts collections, Etc.) - Cast/Crew linking - better handling of 2 movies on 1 side of disc - Links for Trailer, imdb, rotton tomatoes and such for manual profiles - when clicking on actor name... showing all in our collection with said actor/crew member... have it so we can choose either owned only.... owned, ordered... or all three. In any combination (check box for each section to include)
and a few others I am sure... that I can't think of off the top of my head. Another one I hope to see in this new version is to move Television from Genre and give us a Filterable/Sortable field for... Television Theatrical Direct-to-Video Etc. (as needed... not sure if I missed any) | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |

I believe that is what the request came down to at least. What about colour-tinted? I currently track B&W with tags, and use this option for when entire scenes are tinted a particular colour. They're still monochrome, but no longer "black and white", but certainly not colourised. Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: Ah yes, formats (NTSC/PAL and aspect ratio fields) have been moved into the features/formats tab... I know it's a relatively rare case, but I have a few releases that have *both* NTSC and PAL (often as a flipper disc). Is it possible to get an option that supports this? It could be something with a prompt when entering it and/or a flag when contributed. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

If it is rare, as a programmer, I would not worry about it, I would suggest using the tag system for it. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

--------------- Almost everything could be handled by tags. If it's objective information that people are interested in, it should be in the main DB. |

| Posted: | | | | Ace In this case I see this not as objective but as subjective depeding upon the user. For example I have zero interest on sin city being color tinted in some scenes. What would be next users wanting a listing of which scenes were tinted, there is such a thing as timing, and this hits me in that vein simply tmi
Prohibited if Teddy ever takes his box of crayolas after Citizen Kane. I want to know which it is so I don't buy it. <grumble> | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

I imagine relatively few people are interested in many of the trivial film/DVD details some of the feature requests pertain to, and tags are much more limited than you suggest, being merely a series of checkboxes. But they're very good for certain things, and I don't see a pressing need to modify the program to do things that tags already do quite well. I think it's unwise to put in a lot of features that most users will find little if any interest in. --------------- |

I prefer too many fields over not enough. If you aren't interested about info in some particular field just don't use it. |
