Michael (aka Goblin), I read it the way that I think surfeur had meant it. He had given you a red mark originally (and then removed it). And was merely saying that he hadn't repeated giving you a red mark again. i.e. that time. He was refering to the past / present.

It was meant as a reassurance.

You have (I think) taken it as refering to the present / future possible actions.



Hopefully everybody can just take a deep breath and make an assumption that we are not all deadly enemies intent on destroying each other, burying bodies in the back garden etc.

...and that Ken will lock this thread down, I am sure he will take any action if required that he deems appropriate.

It seems to me after reading all of this, that this was much ado about nothing.

I do not believe that Yves intended to threaten anyone although, I do believe that the reputation system is being used in a way that it was not intended for.

Simply supporting someone that you don't like is not a valid reason to give a red zinger.  If you use abusive or insulting language when you support that person, that's different.

Yes, let's please be careful not to parse too closely comments made in a second language.  I know I wouldn't want people looking too closely for hidden meanings in something I write in Spanish or worse German.
