What I don't get is this supporting whoever or being against whoever?
So who cares that certain people are glad to see someone returning.
Those could be the same people who backed you up in another thread, the thread which was the reason for the `Reputation System`.

To me way too often I get this ghastly feeling that there is something wrong when you are European, or American, it is wrong to say that you actually support someone or you don't support someone ( in a specific discussion ).

Not to worry Yves, I'm used to reading between the lines and I can clearly see you did not meant to do any harm.

Oh please can we stop this who gave me or why did I got a negative vote for this or that. I also am getting ones for some things I do not understand and frankly I don't care. If some users think they can use the reputation system to censor the forum they really are on the wrong track and do not deserve to get any attention.

It looks like the problem is that neither of you are communicating in your native language.

Michael (aka Goblin), I read it the way that I think surfeur had meant it. He had given you a red mark originally (and then removed it). And was merely saying that he hadn't repeated giving you a red mark again. i.e. that time. He was refering to the past / present.

It was meant as a reassurance.

You have (I think) taken it as refering to the present / future possible actions.



Hopefully everybody can just take a deep breath and make an assumption that we are not all deadly enemies intent on destroying each other, burying bodies in the back garden etc.
