thought of another - Alien Nation - now got the series on DVD but does anyone know if the Movies are going to be released and roughly when

DVD Empire has it, and according their site it was released in 2001.

...or what region are you in?

...or worse: what I am missing...?

The movie that is out... that is the movie that the series came from.... with a different cast and all. Then there was a series of movies released after the series ended (think reunion movies)... I believe that is what he is asking about.

Thanks, Pete. Didn't know. Makes very much sense.

A couple of series not mentioned before:

"Rome"
"My So-Called Life"
"Crime Story"

Some of the series mentioned above weren't cancelled so much as they ran out of steam or the actors didn't want to continue or wanted more money.

I doubt it. It was even news on CNN last week that Lost is scheduled through 2010.

Unless of course, it starts to suck, then ABC will kill it almost as fast as FOX kills good shows.

LOL... Thanks... but found the answer on another site... it wasn't canceled... it just won't return to after January and apparently  Futon Critic is only listing the fall upfronts.

Well... This sucks!...
According to TV Guide's Ausiello Report Jericho has been canceled!

Hopefully we will at least get a good Complete Series boxset with lots of good extras!

why is it they never do a survey of what people actually want to watch - I know they got the "mystery Viewers" but not all of them like Sci-fi related shows which most are nowdays i think they should gp to each major city ask 10000 people and see what they watch on telle and work from there at least it would be more reliable than joe bloggs being counted as 10000 pveiewrs or whatever the percentage is - just an idea I'd even volunteer to be the one to do it if it meant the good shows got to carry on - or the tv stations or producers responislbe could read forums like this to see what theyve screwed up - sorry to everyone about this but it &*%^%&^^%%$% me right off to think ..... i'm taking a deep breath now (calming thoughts) .........

Having just finished William Tell (1958) with Conrad Phillips and The Buccaneers (1958) with Robert Shaw I just wish there were more than the 39 episodes as they were fantastic adventure series.

Glad to see so many firefly votes.  I need to log in more.  This is my kind of crowd.
Police Squad second...

Throw in the Legend of Zelda show than ran on Fridays instead of Mario's super show.

And Scrubs-it hasn't been cancelled yet, but when it is, that will be too early.
EA sucks, Sony Sucks, Micheal Bay sucks, HDCP sucks, Nintendo sucks, George Lucas sucks, The Broncos, Chargers and Raiders suck, Double Bogies used to suck, but things are changing.

Looks like VERONICA MARS has been cancelled.

Re LOST, it was recently announced that it will run for 3 more seasons. They'll only be 16 episodes each, but will broadcast uninterrupted.

Well, I have yet to see S3 (how many episodes did they get anyway?), but S2 was already a big letdown after a nearly perfect S1.

Definitely Futurama (there are always rumors about its return, though, will have to see it to believe it )

Angel could have gone on for a season or two longer, Whedon had some great plans and story ideas.

And I don't believe Spawn hasn't been mentioned...  Another one that supposedly is coming back.

20, which were more episodes than originally intended, AFAIK.  Rob Thomas had a bit of an... uh, hellish time with the network on S3

And season 2 was pretty darn good, IMO

Lost is, to quote a mate, "A fiendish puzzle box that just keeps giving and giving and giving..."
