That's not about professional football . It's a biographical film about Knute Rockne, the legendary player/coach of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame University.

Honestly, I didn't/don't know the difference.  It's about people who play that game where they run with the pointy-ended ball.  I know that's American football ... because the other kind of football has a round black & white speckled ball. 


It was not always black & white speckled ball :-) In 1954 it looked like this (World Championship in Switzerland, Final: Germany-Hungary 3-2).
