Off Topic: S-51, they way I read your initial post in this thread is akin to saying "I would like us all to get along" while you're punching someone in the face. Maybe it's a cultural thing where you don't see it that way but it seems that's exactly how people on this side of the pond are seeing it. Just stating an observation and not intending to provoke. |

| | Posted: | | | | Here I am on my 2009 H-D Sportster 1200 XLC taken Feb 2010. I've since added a sissy bar, luggage rack, and nicer saddle bags. Already upgraded the pipes, air intake, and seat.  |

| | Posted: | | | | @ Kathy It's not hard at all. As TheMadMartian already stated, if you can ride a bike you can pretty much ride a motorcycle. And as The Martian said, it's not so much you that you have to worry about...it's the "other guy" out there that can't seem to see you and those that don't seem to get that motorcycle riders have just as much right to be on the road as they do. Here in California it's legal to "Lane Split" on a bike during slowed or stalled traffic. I've had car drivers purposely pull out far enough just to block me when they see me coming up behind them and then they'd look over and grin at me...jerks. @ the good Dr. I've only spilled my bike once, hitting gravel going about 20 mph. My pride was more hurt than I was...just a little "road rash", but my bike needed new paint . I've had near misses when drivers pull out from an intersection not seeing me coming...that's scary . That's a nice little Sportster by the way...my sister used to have one till she upgraded to a Dyna Lowrider. My Brother-in-law has a really nice Heritage Softail Classic and my brother has a 86' Dyna. | | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

The top plate was to repair the new break (look at the top of the middle plate). I've got 9" scars on my biceps & triceps. Didn't really hurt too much but I knew it was broken when I rolled to a stop in a sitting position. Radio nerve was damage - that's what really hurt. Felt like my arm was on fire whenever they tried moving me. I broke my collar bone before too, back when I was an E-2 in the Air Force. Was my right collar bone, was given doctors orders to not salute anyone. I made a beeline for any officer I saw once I got my sling off and once word got out, some would even cross the road to avoid me. |
