Forbidden Planet Blu-ray

Just Awesome both in picture and sound quality.

5/5 If you like science fiction this definitely "The Granddaddy of Tomorrow".

Rory

I'm going to watch that this afternoon, but I only have the DVD with no special features.
Does the Blu-ray edition have any bonus material?

Braveheart

This movie was one of my first DVDs and last night was the first time I watched since getting it.
I love this movie, the music is indescribably beautiful and as well as the cinematography. The very final scene still give me goose bumps like no other movie. 5/5

Secretary

A rather unique love story between two trouble individuals. It's seductive, provocative, and at times pretty funny. 4/5

The Haunting in Connecticut

I did not enjoy this at all; not scary in the slightest. It's just The Amityville Horror all over again. 1.5/5

The Fourth Kind

I'm glad I watched this thinking there was some truth to it. Buy the end the I was very freaked out
But after some reading on the film's wiki page I confirmed my suspicions, that it was a true story like the Blair Witch Project was a 'true' story. But overall a good horror movie. 4/5

Funny, I saw it just this morning, the B-rD is mediocre, friends of the genre might take a look, though, the movie has almost everything, an old house, with a secret, slamming doors, creaking floor boards, shadows, sudden gestalts, blood flood on the floor, dead passenger on the back seat, a reverend, mummies, damned, it even has chair stacking and an axe smashing through the door, if you know what I mean. The only things it lacks are originality and cleverness. 2.7 / 5

My second complain is that the babysitter is not shown in small underwear once throughout the whole movie.

The Unborn (2009) did it better:

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (BR)

The story is a tad lacking, but enjoyable.

The cinematography is beautiful and found the BR to really stand out visually.

Sounds like the features from the DVD. Or is there something special?

@bbbbb

The picture is alot beter then the "Ultimate Collector's Edition" which I had but gave to my 13 year old Grandson. It's full 1080p with DTS HD MA 5.1 audio. The DVD even Upscaled was only 720P with Dolby Digital 5.1.

I like the scene where he walks up kisses the guy and he just freezes.

The Bridge on the River Kwai

An all time classic war movie. I can't believe that DVD collector's edition is already 10 years old, how the years fly by. I remember when I started collecting DVDs, a friend of mine said, "Get Bridge on the River Kwai, it's the best DVD ever!" I'm looking forward to owning this on Bu-ray

Madness!

Shane

2.3/5 (a stranger rides into town where's a conflict between settlers and cattleman villains, trite dramaturgy and an annoying kid, nice photography, though, still 11 years til A Fistful of Dollars)

Noroi - The Curse

2.5/5 (calibration first, the Asians once used to have the best scare tactics, produced by Takashige Ichise, producer of the classics Ring, Dark Water and Ju-On: The Grudge, documentary style, which doesn't work, overlong, slapstick characters, it's only nice to see how the puzzle parts begin to fit together, gained some speed towards the unsatisfying end, recommended only to the die-hard J-Horror fan)
