| Posted: | | | | A few people not so happy with guzzlefish here. Seems to be that the author lost interest in the project then sold it, I would too if I wasnt getting paid! The new owners probably saw that it wasnt profitable enough and closed it down. Strange that the users of GF on that forum seemed to love the software yet no-one suggested making a small donation to the company. I've only been a user of profiler for less than a year and I'm already thinking of buying another liscense just for the sake of it (I feel like I'm stealing just paying £15 once ) Edit: As for the forums, I quite like them. They're full of people from all over the world which is hard to find sometimes. Theres some negativity but thats easy to ignore. | | | Last edited: by MarEll |

Skip Poverty level for a family of 4 in the US is currently $20,650 per year. Check here. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

No need to bash him any further. I agree. I'm sure he and Ken can work things out from here without our input. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Not to drag this stupid topic out even further, but that $46k guess earlier in this thread would be before taxes, the business costs of keeping the site up and running, health insurance, and a whole host of others costs. Anyway, I'm not comfortable discussing Ken's financial status. That's kind of a private matter and none of our business. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Who cares, that wasn't the point of my post. I guarantee you in Washington DC area a family of 4 at 46K is in poverty. But like I said that wasn't the point. Who determines just excatly how much is too much, I can give you that answer but you might not like it very much.
And yes I know what you were trying to prove yourself, a rather childish game to be sure. And let's see I believe the Democrat are currently even confused on what is poverty and what is not, Hal. I believe on one hand they claim that 86K makes you wealthy and OTOH 86K is poor<shrugs>

I agree. I'm sure he and Ken can work things out from here without our input. I thought the forum was here for us to offer our input and thoughts - in large issues as well as small.. But that aside - I agree - no need to delve any deeper on this particular issue.. | | | Berak

Skip Right. Never let the actual facts get in the way of a good argument. I'm just a stickler when it comes to statistics. If you're going to state an easily verifiable government statistic as part of a discussion, take a couple of minutes to get it right. It is childish to get your facts straight? That's a different perspective. And lastly, the Democrats are perpetually confused. | | | Hal |

Check here. the poverty level and living comfortably without fear of missing one bill and never catching up, or not having to eat bland rice out of a 5lb bag each day are two very different things... it may be differant elsewhere in the states, but where i am... $20,650 a year for ONE PERSON you might as well be homeless... never mind four. | | | -JoN |

No argument here. I simply quoted the official government poverty number for a family of four. I was not defending it in any way. | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | It is very simple. Be content with what you have or strive for something better. The only thing is the somethings better will more than likely always cost you more.
As for me, I bought the key years ago because I wanted a good program to catagorize my DVD collection. I got that, a wonderful program that is well worth the price. I have also told many friends about DVDProfiler.
As far as getting back the original, there is no way I would divert back.
I have got a post under support about having both versions listed on Add and Remove programs/control panel. Please take a look at that post and see if you can help me as to whether both need to be there or if the 2.4.0 can be removed.
Thanks Tom | | | I AM A LIFETIME MEMBER AND I HAVE PROBLEM WITH MY DVDPROFILE SOFTWARE PROGRAM. I JUST WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY AND I HAVE SEND SUPPORT QUEWTIONS BUT NEVER GET ANY ANSWER. I NEED SOMEONE TO SEND ME EMAIL SO WE CAN GET THIS PROBLEM WORKED OUT. I AM GETTING PAST UPSET OVER THIS. I HAVE OWNED FOR YEARS AND THIS IS THE ONLY TIME I CAN NOT GET ANY SERVICE FROM SUPPORT TEAM...….. |

The program itself does not allow to export your collection to an iPod, but a plugin has been written to accomplish this. Check out this post.
