Today is August 1st... this means I haven't watched any horror in 41 Days... and I have  61 Days to go. I admit I am starting to feel it a bit. But I am confident that I can make it still. I have to admit seeing some of the titles in the package that is on the way to me has me itching a bit. The hard part will be when it actually arrives... and I see some of that low-budget horror sitting right there in my face... and not be able to watch it for well over a month yet! But I am still confident I will make it.

Before we guess such things: Did someone see this movie? Perhaps it is really a Romance Western.

nope... didn't watch a movie or show... it is pretty much impossible to stay away from advertisements... especially the closer we get to October. So I never have counted trailers.

Guns, shooting, blood, Coolio... what's not Western or Romance about that? Where's the confusion coming from?

I could agree that Horror as Genre is argueable at this movie.

Now Merrik... are you trying to sabotage me?  It is hard enough now that that box of DVDs arrived today... and I have all this low budget horror sitting here in front of my face!

I just wanted to once again publicly thank all the people that were so kind to send me a box of DVDs!

You don't know how much easier you made it for me to try to stay away from horror right now. Giving me lots of new stuff to watch and enjoy... helping me to take my mind off of watching horror! Thank you all so much! Believe me... it is very much appreciated!

Wanted to get some opinions from everyone.

I recently got the second season of Dexter. I never considered Dexter a horror series. Crime... yes. Suspense/Thriller... yes. But despite all the blood shown I never considered it horror.

So I was considering re-watching the first 2 seasons. But does anyone here think of this series as horror? Even though I don't... if the majority of people do see it as horror I will not watch it before October.

I am asking this because... last year at least... people gave me a hard time about what I was watching. To the point that I was told I couldn't watch Wizard of Oz because of the Wicked Witch of the West!

But seriously... does anyone here see watching the TV Series Dexter as cheating?

I own and have watched seasons 1 thru 3 and just got season 4 of Dexter but haven't watched it.
I have it listed as a Crime. Drama, Television.
Crime Drama is one of my favorite genre (have over 2000 profiles dedicated to them), suspenseful, bloodier and gorier than most, yes, but I don't consider Dexter a horror item.
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
