I am wondering why it cannot be discussed in a civil and friendly way, if a NO vote is justified or not.

I agree that the subject field could be moderated, but the thread itself serves a purpose IMO.

It IS really OK. I see it far more often than I care to talk about. But thank you, the harsh wording was chosen deliberately and carefully. Just as I chose deliberately and carefully to not point fingers at anyone in particular because it is a rather broad issue.

Donnie, I have no issue with noobs, they are consistent and predictable in their mistakes and the vast majority of them accept a critique and thank me for dilligence and yes hard work in trying to help. I have zero tolerance for long-time users who adopt a self-righteous public stance while their behavior is exactly the opposite. I have zero tolerance for long-time users who cast a vote on a Contribution and walk away from it, like voting yes to an image set that did not match the profile. Or those who believe that once data is in the Online it is sacred and cannot be touched, especially (uncredited) when it is a simple modification to break a connection from another source and they rather insanely try and apply CLT to (uncredited) data, that is quite possibly the most bizarre rationale I have ever seen. The list of such mistakes is, to put it bluntly extensive and to me rather shocking, and sometimes comes from quarters which surprise me.

For Hal, you can act like a petulant child with blocks if you wish, that is after all your choice, it's not my fault you can't create an argument but then if i have to point something out anonymously in public which i would prefer to deal with privately, then you can't complain can you. That choice is obne that you make and with every choice there are consequences. While i have zero tolerance for the behaviors i have described, they are also ALL issues I would prefer to handle privately, like pointing out the error in a vote on a Cover or whatever. I stomach this kind of garbage for awhile and then I have enough and it comes out here. You tell me nothing by making communication difficult other than that you cannot argue my points so you take your toys and go home. I have users that will block me simply because I might see an error in a Contribution vote, I will PM both the voter asking him to take a second look for x reason and the Contributor, the Contributor responds and the voter acts like a child who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar...that's a real adult response. If you can't handle the heat fine. I have said many times I will never object to any user who has a legitimate issue with something I have contributed OR voted on, never have never will, if I make a mistake, I will correct it immediately as many of you have first hand experience, and i don't block except in very extreme instances (three users). Bottom line I ask myself who the adult is in Profiler and who is the CHILD? It is hard to have a public discussion with children. Just as with everything life it's always a two way street, but those who block try and avoid the two way street, the want life to be their way, only their life experiences are valid and whatever it is they want to do is right even when it is wrong. So...

I'll never back down from something that is a strongly held belief or opinion unless you can create a rational argument that makes sense and causes me to re-evaluate...it happens. But the fact that everyone likes to beat Skip but cries when Skip decides to beat back is ludacrous. We have some users whom i shan't name who stalk me and leave nothing that is useful they only have the capability to insult or inflame, or in some cases be condescending. Listen up people, if you abuse me and insult me as you do repeatedly, then don't be surprised when sometimes the dog bites back.

Those who like to claim that only those who agree with me....that is utter nonsense and absurd beyond belief. I will say that the vast majority of the Community does not seem to be able to present logical and rational arguments, I really enjoy it when somebody DOES. What I see in general is instead of engaging in discussion, some just want me to blindly go along with whatever it is that they want because they want it...and i don't do that, even for myself. There is the problem you see it one way and your way has to right, I see something entirely different, but instead of discussing that andtrying to resolve it, I wind up being attacked. If you want to discuss with me great, I will not dismiss you, but I will NOT be dismissed or insulted.
