Sure it is..."Use the title from the front cover." 'Own the Moments' is on the front cover so, IF it is the title of the series of releases, THEN it goes in the title field. IF it is not, THEN it doesn't. How to you determine what should go in the title field and what should go in the Title field? The rules are very vague, it's not as simple as you make it out to be, and like most of the rules can be interperted differently by different people.

I made my post based on the fact that this has come up before and, honestly, payed no attention to your cover scan post until you made your post above. SO, while I am sorry that you thought I was casting disparaging remarks towards you, I am not going to apologize for something I didn't do. But you DID do it, wether it was intentional or not.
Once again here is your entire post:

Quote: What I don't understand is in how far it makes any difference how the release is specified (number or movie-titles). It doesn't make any difference. If the name of the series is "Own the Moments", then that is what should be in the title field. What has happened here is that user preference has trumped the rules.
You stated "What has happened here is that user preference has trumped the rules" directly after referencing "Own the Moments". I wasn't making any assumptions. I wasn't reading anything into your post that wasn't there. You gave the example of "Own the Moments" and said the user (ME!) ignored the rules for their own personal preference. The way YOU wrote it, how else am I supposed to take it? Take responsibility for your actions, intended or otherwise.

I don't play CYA as I freely own my snide remarks. I do, however, clarify my posts when somebody takes them the wrong way. Since that is what happened here, there isn't much else I can do. Besides simply apologize? Meh, I wouldn't bother with this, DDA. It will just be a back and forth until he plays the victim card and does a "I'm bowing out of this blah blah blahgety blah." It's his game plan. He's just a troll. Best you move on. | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com

He's just a troll. Best you move on. I find some of his posts questionable, but not sure if I'd go as far as call him a troll. But it is good advice nonetheless, that I'm going to go ahead and ignore. Quoting Kulju: Quote: Quoting DoubleDownAgain:

But you DID do it, wether it was intentional or not. Bu-huuuu!! Try to get over as an adult. He already explained it to you more than once. Now back to topic please. It took me a few seconds with that first part, normally in US/Canada it's spelled Boo-Hooo!! Like I said, it took me a few seconds, but I eventually got your point. I am over it, I'll admit I was slightly annoyed when I first read and posted, but far from upset. While he did "explain" it to me, it wasn't good enough in my book. Through carelessness on his part he cast disparaging towards my character. What was I seeking? Like most adults that have been wronged (even as slight as on an internet message board) all I was seeking was a contrite apology, an admission of wrong doing. While it appears he didn't mean to phrase it in the way he did, he still did. Is it really that hard, or that much to ask for, for him to say "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say you....." I was on the other side of this just this morning in a different forum. I responded to a post, and they way I wrote it was taken in a different way then what I intended. So I quickly apologized and stated what I originally meant. If this was some other random poster, I wouldn't have bothered to respond. But over the course of the past few years I've noticed at times MM can be obtuse and overbearing, so i decided to call him out on it. I'll admit that I could have responded better initially, but regardless he should have apologized right away. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |
