| Posted: | | | | Hey
I've tested the app now and it works like a charm. Some suggestions: - it should be possible to store the filter configuration - sorting according to movie number would be nice - a kind of search function would be nice for big collections
Keep up the good works |

| Posted: | | | | I am considering hooking into the Mango search functionality to at least allow searching by movie title. But that obviously means nothing will happen before Mango is released. With storing filters, are you referring to: 1) Be able to store multiple different configurations by name? 2) Just store the last used' 3) Store a specific filter as default. Needles to say, option 2 and 3 are easier to do... and I am lazy Movie number??? Do you mean collection number? The main problem here is: 1) Adding more lists impact memory usage, and the app is already running a bit high. They claim app memory footprint is reduved with Mango so maybe that will free up some room.' 2) I do not use collection numbers myself | | | Regards Lars |

| Posted: | | | | Just a note to those who may be having trouble syncing remotely (or via PC):
You need to have DVD Profiler running on the PC for it to work.
I just spend 20 mins trying to work out why I couldn't update {DUH!} | | | Last edited: by chopsus |

Nice to hear that Mango maybe will bring some new features.
Concerning the filters: for me it will be sufficient to get the last used filter stored.
Concerning the movie number: yes, I mean the collection number. For me it's just a matter of habit to have the movies sorted like in the desktop version.
Thank you and Bye Byte |

| Posted: | | | | Version 1.2 has now been uploaded to the marketplace.
Notice this version is not adding any new feature. It is changing the way files are stored on the phone to support large collection (3000+) profiles. While it doesn't really improve the speed of synchronization (sorry, phone memory is SLOW) it does appear to avoid the slowdown experienced in the synchronization as the number of profiles on the phone increases - it pretty much keeps the speed (or lack of it) throughout the 3000 profiles I tried.
I have noticed the list of movies doesn't scroll smoothly, but I assume it's due to my phone being updated to Mango. I'll look into optimizing this before the official Mango release, but unfortunately I am not able to promise it will be available with the first Mango release, as I am suffering from Microsoft's pathetic way of supplying standard functionality to developers. Oh well, I guess they feel they have so big a lead over the competition when it comes to developer experience that they can get away with this (and unfortunately - they are right). | | | Regards Lars | | | Last edited: by lmoelleb |

| Posted: | | | | I am slowly starting to move the app to Mango, and I'll see what I can do with the smoothness of scrolling. I can't promise too much though, Microsoft really dropped the ball here. | | | Regards Lars |

Hi there. I've never been able to get Restifier working. Always get Restifier Error - failed to start service. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

| Posted: | | | | I'm not sure, but I think you already have a web server running on port 80, change the port and try again. | | | Deutsches DVD Profiler Forum: www.dvdprofiler-forum.de |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, I had already changed the port to 81 and that worked.
Really pleased to have it on WP7. I brought DVD Profiler because it had the Windows Mobile app, I lost interest in using DVD Profiler once I moved to WP7. So Invelos should give lmoelleb a pat on the back for a job well done in keeping it's customers happy.
@lmoelleb, might be worth updating your documents to use a different port if port 80 is already in use.

Darren I might be wrong, but I am under the impression that: 1) It is not a problem running IIS and Restifier on the same port (I do that all the time) 2) Most people running anything but IIS on port 80 are aware of technical details like ports being used. Clearly in your case I am wrong, but I am not sure this specific issue is a general problem a lot of users will run into. | | | Regards Lars |

| Posted: | | | | Please notice that the Mango update will be a few weeks (at least) as I will not be able to work on it the next couple of weekends (typically, just as Mango is actually released)
The minimum changes that will be included are: 1) Fix a bug in the storage system causing problems when the app is tumbstoned and reactivated. 2) Support for application switching without restarting the app (so native Mango behavior) 3) Support for saving a filter as a default filter (it will be applied automatically on each startup) 4) Smooth scrolling list of DVD's 5) Child profiles are now moved to the profile page - this simplifies the main list (no expand/collapse) 6) Pages without information are no longer displayed in the panorama. 7) A tad less memory is consumed (also helps with the Mango app switching).
I am also working on the following, but might release before they are included: - Live tile support (see latest purchased, latest released, upcoming releases, or just random profiles on the tile). - Better performance in the list of DVDs. While it scrolls completely smooth now, it will not be able to render the profiles fast enough when scrolling fast - so you will see empty space being scrolled in and then filled. | | | Regards Lars |
