Entries in the DB are identified by locality and UPC or locality and disc ID. Changing the UPC/disc ID or locality will be creating a new entry.

So, I want to make a new profile using the existing XA, if I just edit the UPC that will submit it as a entirely new profile XB?

Yep. In a database every dataset has to have a primary-key, which has of course to be unique.

For DVD Profiler this key is either UPC/EAN and Locality or DiscID and Locality.

e.g. the fictitious DVD with the UPC 123456-789012 from Germany. In the database this will end up as 123456789012.5 ... now you want to submit the same DVD for Austria: You just change the Locality and as soon as you do this the profile will become 123456789012.40 a different dataset and contributable as such[1]
Same thing if you keep the locality but change the UPC to a different UPC or a DiscID.

see Image Naming Convention because the first part of the image-name is exactly the primary-key

[1] This is called "cloning" and you have of course to make sure that your cloned data really is correct, but this still beats all the typing in my opinion.

Ok, once again I am hitting a wall that just makes this frustrating to contribute.

It won't allow me to upload the Blade updates because the profile was a manual entry using name.

Everything has been edited, disk IDs used etc etc, but this just seems prohibitive and some what obtuse methods to contribute.

Just change the UPC and set it to the disc ID. Then you cna contribute.

I set DiskID when I built the profile. Why would I need to do so again ?

You need to change the "UPC" to the disc-id or the profile will remain a manual profile and thus, not submittable. This is not the same thing as setting the disc-id inside the profile.

1) Insert the disc in the PC

2) From the menu: DVD | Change UPC

3) Click the "Use disc ID from inserted disc" check box

4) Do all the OKs and the Manual Profile should now be disc ID based
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

The DiscID can be entered at two places:

The lower one is just any datafield. If you are bored you can add the same DiscID to each and every profile you have. Just as all profiles can carry the same Actor or the same Directer etc. pp.
The upper one is the critical, because this is (part of) the primary-key, see my previous post.

From what I gather, you have made the profile a "manual" which are not contributable because e.g. "M1" is of course far from unique. Follow Tweeter's advice and everything should be peachy.
